The question is when starting a blog when does the money making process begin? When is the proper time for a blogger to start to make money from blogging?

There are two lines of thought or should I say approaches, as when to monetize your blog. There are those who believe you should wait until you have a large audience or readership before trying to make any money. Then there are those who believe in monetizing your blog from the start.

Let’s take a look at both approaches and see what approach will best work for you and your blog.

The Monetize Later Approach:

 

The primary concern of starting a blog is to provide valuable content and to drive traffic to your blog. Bloggers who take this approach feel that they can build a larger audience by not including ads or attempt to make money blogging from the very start. Building traffic by providing valuable content is the key. With this approach the reader’s focus is entirely on the content rather than the ads, resulting in building an audience faster.
Those who use the monetize later approach feel that new blogs are unlikely to make any significant amount of money on ads and affiliate programs without having an established reader base. In other words, if you aren’t going to make any money, whatever ads you may have will not be beneficial to your blog and may just result in losing your audience.
Blog readers want to read your blog, they don’t want to click on advertisements. So to make money blogging, focus on building content, writing good posts, build trust with your readers then start to filter in your process to generate income with your blog.

 

The Monetize Now Approach:

 

There are bloggers who choose to monetize their blog from the very start. They want to make money from blogging from the very beginning.
